Description

A remarkable piece of American whiskey heritage, this Jim Beam 1978 White Corvette Decanter captures the spirit of a bygone era of collectible spirits packaging. Produced as part of a popular series of themed decanters, this edition celebrates one of the most iconic sports cars in automotive history.

This decanter is a testament to the quality and creativity of the Jim Beam brand, which began issuing unique decanters in the 1950s. This particular piece was handcrafted from genuine porcelain in the U.S.A. by Regal China, a collaboration that produced many of Beam's most sought-after collectibles. It faithfully replicates the sleek, unmistakable lines of the 1978 Chevrolet Corvette in a striking white finish.

Originally, this vessel contained 750ml of Beam's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The bourbon was aged for 100 months and bottled at 80 proof, as noted on the original, now-broken paper seal. The decanter's closure is cleverly concealed beneath the Corvette's rear window, which lifts to reveal the stopper.

As a highly sought-after collectible, this 1978 Corvette decanter is a fantastic example of the elaborate and creative marketing that defined the American whiskey industry in the mid-20th century. It represents a unique intersection of distilling history, automotive culture, and ceramic artistry, making it a rare and desirable item for collectors of both fine bourbon memorabilia and classic cars.
