Description

Martell Création Grand Extra Cognac

A testament to three centuries of savoir-faire, the Martell Création Grand Extra is a prestigious cuvée that celebrates the visionary spirit of the oldest of the great Cognac houses. This exceptional expression is a tribute to the founder, Jean Martell, blending supremely aged eaux-de-vie to create a sensory masterpiece for the discerning collector.

This Cognac is a masterful blend, marrying the floral, fruity elegance of the rare Borderies cru—the signature of Maison Martell—with the nutty and spicy complexity of long-matured eaux-de-vie from the revered Grande Champagne terroir. The result is a wonderfully balanced and intricate spirit, reflecting the expertise passed down through seven generations of Martell's Cellar Masters.

Presented in a stunning, sculptural decanter, this bottle is as much a work of art as the liquid it contains. The unique arched design, created by renowned French artist and sculptor Serge Mansau, features flowing, wave-like forms that make it an iconic and highly collectible piece. The presence of the historic Martell swallow emblem on the capsule and medallion signifies the House's spirit of freedom and heritage, dating back to 1715.

Product Information

The elegant, diamond-shaped front label presents the esteemed MARTELL name in a dark blue banner. Below, the designation EXTRA is rendered in a classic serif font, accompanied by the cursive signature of "J. F. Martell" and the founding year, "1715". The neck label affirms its origin: "MARTELL & Co. COGNAC PRODUCED & BOTTLED IN COGNAC FRANCE". The matching back label shares the story of this exceptional blend and bears the unique identifier L.N.00362A, confirming the bottle's individuality.

The cognac is housed in a remarkable flattened globular bottle, defined by deep, wave-like sculpted patterns rising from its base. A metallic silver and gold capsule elegantly wraps the neck, patterned with a faint cursive "Martell" signature. The top of the cap is embossed with the iconic Martell swallow emblem, encircled by "TEAR HERE" and "TIRER ICI". An additional embossed swallow medallion is present just below the neck, reinforcing the brand's historic identity.

This particular bottle is in excellent condition, with a high fill level reaching well above the shoulder and into the neck, indicating superb preservation of the precious spirit within.
