Description

Jack Daniel's 1994 Barrelhouse 1 Commemorative Tennessee Whiskey

A highly collectible and historically significant release, this Jack Daniel's Barrelhouse 1 bottle is a tribute to the heritage and timeless processes of the famed Lynchburg distillery. Released in 1994, this commemorative edition celebrates one of the oldest and most revered barrelhouses on the distillery grounds, a seven-story structure considered to have the ideal elevation for aging whiskey to perfection.

This bottle holds a special place in the distillery's history for another reason: it was the first bottle of Jack Daniel's to be legally sold at the Distillery in Lynchburg since Prohibition ended. This fact alone makes it a landmark release for collectors of American whiskey. The whiskey itself is bottled at a robust 94-proof, offering a richer expression of the classic Tennessee whiskey profile derived from maturation in new, charred American oak barrels.

Presented in its original, specially designed wooden box, this 1994 release is a snapshot of the Jack Daniel's legacy. Its rarity, coupled with its historical importance, makes it a cornerstone piece for any serious enthusiast, embodying the tradition and craftsmanship that have defined the brand for over a century.

Product Information

The handsome wooden box, featuring debossed branding, houses this exceptional bottle. Text on the paper insert inside the box provides historical context, with the left panel displaying a "JACK DANIEL'S BARREL HOUSE 1" emblem alongside an illustration of the building. The right panel is headed with "JACK DANIEL DISTILLERY" and "COMMEMORATIVE BOTTLES," accompanied by an illustration of various historic bottles.

The bottle itself is a classic rectangular shape with chamfered edges and a distinctive fluted neck, sealed with a cork stopper and a dark wood cap. The glass is embossed with "JACK DANIEL'S" and a circular "BARREL HOUSE 1" emblem. A cream-colored main label carries this same emblem, while a small hang tag, tied to the neck with a black string, echoes the design, ensuring a cohesive and authentic presentation.

This bottle is in excellent condition. The fill level is great, resting well above the shoulder and into the neck, signifying superb preservation and minimal evaporation over the years.
