I was an EMT in NYC about 10 years ago. I got a call for a patient with high blood pressure that needed to go to the ER. When I arrived on scene it was an old woman who refused to go to the hospital because she said she felt fine and it was her home health aid that called. I told her it’s best we take her to the ER but she refused so I said okay let’s take your vitals. She offered me a drink of juice and I jokingly said “I only drink water and Hennessy” she said her late husband loved Hennessy and actually had bottles left over before he passed away. She offered me one and when she showed me I had never seen a bottle like this before. I told her no thank you but she wouldn’t take no for an answer and gave it to me. I’ve had it for about 10 years and never thought to open it
