I like cognac, so bought a box lot at an auction yesterday with 2 cognacs and 1 armagnac. I opened one last night and it's wonderful. The cork came apart when pulled it out, but bottom came out clean with corkscrew. This morning, I decided to date the bottle and got the 1961-1977 range and wondering if you can further refine that date. Now also wondering if the second bottle is a collector item for someone else instead of enjoying it myself. Is an empty box desirable by others?
