This bottle was given to me by a friend. The gentleman who gave it to me said his dad had purchased it in the 1980s I know that it was purchased in Africa and I think it was purchased for $7,000 or $8,000 sometime in the 80s. The gentleman stated that his father was a physician and would purchase expensive items often. It came in a box, but am not sure if that is the original box.

I was given this botgtle in 1986/87 by the gentleman who was the importer into Western Australia. I have kept this ever since. In 2000 I moved to Southampton New York and eventually becam the Club Manager at The Bridge which is a elite private golf club in the Hamptons. In the summer of 2015 one of the members brought Baptiste Loiseau to lunch. After finding out that Baptiste was the Cellarmaster at Remy I picked up my bottle to show him. He was kind enough to sign the bottle and made a note of the serial number. When he returned to France he researched the serial # and emailed me to say that my decanter left the Remy cellars on the 29th September 1986
